With the support of the IAACA and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the ICAC has developed this pioneering guide to help prison administrations strengthen integrity and manage corruption risks.

The Prison Guide provides a practical and flexible framework covering key areas including prison staff recruitment and training, procurement and financial controls, reporting mechanisms, oversight and inspections, prison intelligence and the use of technology.

Prisons are core components of the justice system. Strengthening integrity behind bars is essential to protecting the safety of prison staff and inmates, supporting prisoner rehabilitation and promoting safer, more stable societies.
